Audit Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join our dynamic team at KPMG Canada. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for leading audit engagements and ensuring the accurate application of accounting practices and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage the audit of clients, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Manage the audit from planning to completion of statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the practice group to assist in implementing the business plan and contributing to the development of audit methodologies.
- Work with members of the assurance management group to meet the goals of the assurance financial plan and drive business growth.
- Counsel, train, and mentor audit staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality audit services.
- Help clients reach solutions to their needs by providing expert advice and guidance on accounting and financial matters.
- Collaborate with clients and partners to resolve complex accounting issues and develop effective solutions.
- Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience working with a public practice accounting firm.
- Previous experience using various accounting frameworks applicable in Canada (IFRS, ASPE, NPO, and/or Public Sector).
- Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand clients' businesses and develop strong client relationships.
- Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and drive business growth.
- Proven background of building a client base and adding revenue.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts effectively.
- Strong team player with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
