Interior Health Authority is seeking dedicated Life Skills Workers to join our Mental Health & Substance Use Team at Harbour House.

We are looking for experienced mental health professionals who are passionate about providing compassionate care to individuals facing significant challenges in their daily lives due to mental health issues and/or substance use disorders.

Your Responsibilities

As a Life Skills Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting clients' recovery journey. You will:

  • Collaborate with clients to develop personalized care plans and treatment goals.
  • Provide structured support and guidance in developing essential life skills, including time management, financial literacy, communication, personal hygiene, household tasks, meal planning, and community engagement.
  • Monitor client progress and document observations according to established guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, substance use specialists, medical practitioners, and other service providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Promote positive behaviors and encourage clients to make informed decisions and solve problems effectively.
Schedule

This position involves shifts during the day, evenings, and nights with varying timings. This is a flexible opportunity, meaning there are no guaranteed hours, and the workload can vary weekly.
