Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Backend Software Engineer to join our Ecosystem Squad in Calgary, AB. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud-native and scalable backend platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and efficient backend systems using modern technologies such as Node, GraphQL, and TypeScript.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy new features and services.
  • Ensure high-quality code through rigorous testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.
  • Participate in the development of our cloud-native architecture, leveraging containerization, microservices, and serverless technologies.
  • Work closely with our Architects, Product Owners, and peers to identify and solve complex business and technical problems.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, including SOLID, Clean Code, and Test-Driven Development.
  • Experience with modern backend languages, such as Node, Go, and Java.
  • Proficiency in GraphQL, REST APIs, and database management systems.
  • Knowledge of containerization, microservices, and serverless architectures.
  • Experience with automated testing, build, and deployment systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
