Join a dynamic and results-oriented team at Scotia iTrade

As an Investment Advisor, you will serve as the main contact for Scotia iTRADE clients through our inbound Contact Centre. Your role will involve executing trade orders on behalf of clients while delivering exceptional service. You will ensure that all interactions meet quality standards and provide an outstanding level of customer care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver Exceptional Client Service:

  • Maintain an expert understanding of client segments and trading platforms to serve clients effectively.
  • Ensure every client experience aligns with Scotia iTRADE's service standards.
  • Engage proactively with client inquiries and problem-solving to achieve First Call Resolution.
  • Collaborate with management to implement effective client solutions.
  • Communicate clearly and provide accurate information to clients.
  • Ensure timely submission of client instructions and follow-ups.
  • Address service and trade-related inquiries in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work with various departments to ensure proper handling of client orders.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client relationships and grow their business.

2. Ensure Compliance and Effective Service Delivery:

  • Meet and exceed service objectives.
  • Resolve client complaints effectively and document them appropriately.
  • Escalate issues to management with recommendations for solutions.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of executing client trades across various products.
  • Provide clients with relevant stock re-organization details and manage their instructions.
  • Collaborate with management to identify and address system issues.
  • Seize opportunities for business development.

3. Risk Management:

  • Provide trading overrides when necessary, ensuring all risks are understood.
  • Assess margin requirements and conduct client interviews regarding account upgrades.
  • Identify and resolve trading discrepancies efficiently.
  • Familiarize yourself with compliance regulations and privacy laws.
  • Adhere to all business conduct guidelines.
  • Act promptly to rectify errors and mitigate risks.

4. Business Development:

  • Recognize and act on quality cross-sell and referral opportunities.

5. Team Collaboration:

  • Build effective relationships across teams and business lines.
  • Foster a culture of open communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in employee development initiatives.
  • Support change initiatives and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of industry experience.
  • Fluency in French.
  • Minimum of 1 year of sales experience with a focus on cross-selling.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of investment products.
  • Strong attention to detail and risk recognition.
  • Ability to work independently and achieve goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of back-office operations.
  • Adaptability to changing environments.
  • Expertise in securities settlement procedures.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • College Diploma or University Degree.

Required Industry Courses:

  • CSC
  • CPH
  • IIROC licensed as an Investment Representative and Derivative Fund Options License.
