Accounts Receivable Analyst
We are looking for a meticulous and driven Accounts Receivable Analyst to enhance our receivables operations. This position plays a crucial role in supporting our financial processes, focusing on collection activities, account maintenance, and providing essential assistance to the receivables team. The successful candidate will possess a basic understanding of accounting practices and demonstrate a commitment to professional development within the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable workflows, including follow-ups on overdue accounts and aiding in collection initiatives.
- Maintain and reconcile the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring precise documentation.
- Assist in the billing procedures for cinema operations, which includes generating invoices for film rentals, maintenance, and monthly statements.
- Record and post daily cash receipts for cinema operations in SAP, under the guidance of senior staff.
- Engage with cinemas regarding overdue payments, account inquiries, and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
- Comply with payment terms and adhere to IMAX’s payment policies and procedures.
- Support the month-end closing activities for accounts receivable, including reconciliation duties.
- Participate in team meetings and provide updates on assigned responsibilities.
- Collaborate with internal teams across various regions to ensure efficient accounts receivable operations.
- Prepare credit memos, theatre adjustments, and journal entries as required, with oversight from senior personnel.
Qualifications:
- Fundamental knowledge of accounts receivable functions and general accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with SAP is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Willingness to learn about international taxation, withholding tax, and VAT-related matters.
- Strong time management skills, with excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities.
