Position Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and driven Accounts Receivable Analyst to assist in our receivables operations. This position is essential in supporting our financial team by managing collections, maintaining accounts, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounts receivable department. The ideal candidate will possess a basic understanding of accounting principles and demonstrate a strong desire to develop their skills in this area.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable activities, including following up on overdue invoices and aiding in collection initiatives.
- Maintain and reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure accurate financial records.
- Assist in the billing procedures for operational activities, including generating invoices for services rendered and monthly financial statements.
- Record and process daily cash receipts in our financial system under the supervision of experienced team members.
- Liaise with various departments regarding overdue accounts, inquiries, and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with payment terms and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Support the month-end closing process for accounts receivable, including reconciliation duties.
- Participate in team meetings and provide updates on progress with assigned responsibilities.
- Collaborate with internal teams across different regions to facilitate seamless accounts receivable operations.
- Prepare necessary documentation such as credit memos and journal entries as required, with guidance from senior staff.
Qualifications
- Fundamental knowledge of accounts receivable processes and general accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with SAP is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Eagerness to learn about tax treaties and VAT-related matters.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and pay attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Capability to work under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
