Lambton College is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to provide clerical support to the School of Applied Science, Engineering Technology & Trades. This is a permanent part-time support staff position working 24 hours per week at an hourly rate of $24.43.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and update office operating procedures to ensure efficient workflow
- Provide administrative support by handling various general office processes, including maintaining petty cash, verifying and processing travel claims and attendance reports, maintaining filing systems, coordinating translation requests, and distributing official documents
- Gather, collate, and review data submitted through surveys, reports, etc., ensuring accuracy and preparing summaries, reports, etc.
- Verify and check claims for accuracy to ensure compliance with college policies
- Prepare and monitor purchase requisitions for the office, maintaining adequate office supplies
- Participate in projects on behalf of the department staff and perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum 2-year post-secondary diploma in Office Administration or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year of related, progressive work experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to use tact, diplomacy, and judgment as needed
- Able to work in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong time management skills
