Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide secretarial support to our School Principal and staff. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the School Principal and staff, including preparing financial reports, posting information to ledgers, and reconciling school and bank records.
  • Organize and administer the school office, including supplies, office equipment, student records, and absenteeism reports.
  • Deal with students, staff, parents, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Utilize strong team player, multi-tasking, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills to ensure the smooth operation of the school office.
Requirements
  • Completion of a two-year Community College program in Office Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of work-related experience.
  • Demonstrated computer experience, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Database management experience, including Trillium Student Administration System and SmartFind Express (SFE) system.
  • Ability to prepare financial reports, post information to ledgers, and reconcile school and bank records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team player, multi-tasking, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
