About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Equipment Technician to join our team at Augmented Networks Inc. as a Network Installation Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain telecommunications equipment, including electromechanical, analog, and digital trunking systems, circuits, and equipment in telecommunications central offices and switching centers.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace, or repair telecommunications equipment, including cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers.
  • Network Configuration: Analyze test results and adjust, change, or repair switching system, network, associated equipment, and software.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete and maintain test and service reports.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in telecommunications equipment installation and maintenance.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Trunking System: Knowledge of trunking systems and their operation.
  • Telecommunication System: Understanding of telecommunication systems and their components.
Work Environment
  • Work Conditions: Tight deadlines and attention to detail required.
  • Physical Capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, and manual dexterity required.
