Olameter Corporation is seeking a Part Time Utility Meter Reader to join our team. As a Meter Reader, you will be responsible for reading gas meters and recording volume used by residential and commercial consumers to ensure accurate consumption and billing.
Key Responsibilities- Read gas meters and record volume used by residential and commercial consumers
- Perform visual meter inspection to assess the condition and overall operation of the meter
- Record any visible defects or issues
- Valid driver's license
- Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings: background check and driving record
- Must have access to your own reliable vehicle
- Must be able to walk up to 10-15 miles per day while reading meters accurately
- Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as a condition of employment
- Day shift hours
- Outdoor work environment
- Little supervision to give you freedom to work independently and manage your own day
- Successfully complete the company's training program and pass applicable written and field tests
- Learn and apply safety measures relating to motor vehicle operation and other field-related matters
