Job Summary:

The Data Verification Agent will work under the direction of the Director to review citizenship files and verify their completeness, accuracy, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Regional Registry Officers to ensure application files are complete and accurate.
  • Identify and follow up on incomplete files.
  • Verify authenticated genealogical requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date contact information on file.
  • Provide general information on Citizenship and assist the MMF Regional Offices.
  • Create queries within the Microsoft Access database environment.
  • Respond to requests for information on Harvester or Citizenship statistics.
  • Manage electronic and hard copy filing systems.
  • Perform clerical duties related to MMF Citizenship.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years' experience in an office environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database programs.
  • Ability to create and maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to use judgment and initiative in dealing with workflow.
  • Knowledge of genealogy, Métis culture, MMF programs, and services.
  • Ability to travel with a valid Manitoba Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
