Job Summary:

The Manitoba Metis Federation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Verification Agent to join our team. As a Data Verification Agent, you will play a critical role in reviewing citizenship files and ensuring they are complete, accurate, and include all necessary documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Regional Registry Officers to verify application files are complete and accurate;
  • Identify and follow up on incomplete files;
  • Verify authenticated genealogical requirements;
  • Maintain up-to-date contact information on file;
  • Provide general information and assistance to the public;
  • Support the MMF Regional Offices with data-related tasks;
  • Develop and execute queries within the Microsoft Access database environment;
  • Respond to requests for information on Harvester or Citizenship statistics;
  • Manage and update both electronic and hard copy filing systems;
  • Perform various clerical duties related to MMF Citizenship.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • Minimum two years' experience in an office environment;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database programs;
  • Ability to create and maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems;
  • Ability to work independently, in a team, and with the public in a professional manner;
  • Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute;
  • Demonstrated strong planning, organizational, and time management skills with strong attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to use judgment and initiative in dealing with workflow;
  • Knowledge of genealogy, Métis culture, MMF programs, and services;
  • Ability to travel, valid Manitoba Driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle.
