Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage supplier capability evaluations, which include:
  • Planning supplier assessments: Establish timelines, finalize logistical arrangements, initiate kickoff/data requests, manage team resources, and clarify expectations.
  • Conducting capability evaluations: Lead the team in performing on-site evaluations.
  • Compiling evaluation results: Oversee the creation of evaluation deliverables, prepare management reports, finalize evaluation scores, and communicate findings.
  • Act as a supply chain authority during on-site supplier evaluations to assess supplier performance with an emphasis on supply chain and planning.
  • Demand planning: Evaluate the supplier's demand planning processes (variables, forecasting, frequency, etc.), systems/tools utilized, and communication methods.
  • Sales & Operations planning: Assess the governance process for Sales & Operations, planning horizons, involved stakeholders, budgeting, and tools employed.
  • Production & inventory planning: Review the supplier's production/inventory planning parameters, systems used, inventory levels, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Procurement planning: Analyze P2P workflows, processes, and systems/tools utilized.
  • Supplier management: Evaluate systems/tools/processes for managing and assessing tier II/III suppliers.
  • Examine supplier performance concerning financial and human resources processes.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities for enhancement in the supplier's supply chain processes and governance to improve planning and overall supplier performance.
  • Maintain a log of supplier risks, agreed corrective/improvement actions, and track follow-up and outcomes from the assessments.
  • Collaborate with relevant team members to address and resolve recurring supplier issues/risks.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Possesses over 7 years of experience in Supply Chain & Operations, particularly in S&OP or inventory planning within Industrial Manufacturing, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with essential systems/tools utilized in a planning environment, such as Sales forecasting, ERP, MRP, etc.
  • Exhibits strong skills in operational, commercial, and financial management.
  • Has proven experience in managing complex projects.
  • Recognized for leadership and innovation, with a successful track record in team coordination and management.
  • Knowledgeable about aircraft design, configuration, certification, and change management principles.
  • Possesses high proficiency in communication.
  • Demonstrates excellent relationship management, negotiation, and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to connect capability assessment outcomes to business objectives.
  • Holds strong technical skills, particularly in MS Office applications (including SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word).
