Avionics Systems Specialist | Permanent position | Full-Time

Are you an experienced Avionics Systems Specialist or aspiring to become one?
If so, we are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to contribute to our innovative projects.

Key Responsibilities:

As a key player in our team, you will be involved in the integration and certification of advanced cockpit solutions. Your role will encompass:

  • Providing technical support for customer engagements, including the development of comprehensive technical proposals.
  • Reviewing customer requirements and ensuring that proposed solutions align with their specifications through regular design consultations.
  • Creating essential documentation for integrated avionics solutions, such as Block Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
  • Conducting system design activities, including defining interfaces and requirements with a focus on safety and performance.
  • Managing requirements using DOORS, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
  • Supporting the certification process at the aircraft level.
  • Developing and executing system test procedures to validate designs against established requirements.
  • Conducting systems integration testing during various project phases.
  • Identifying and resolving issues during development and certification, while assessing program impacts.
  • Staying updated on advancements in avionics systems.
  • Collaborating effectively within a dedicated project team.
  • Potential travel may be required.

Required Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering; advanced degrees or equivalent experience are preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in complex avionics systems.
  • Strong English report writing skills.
  • Experience in requirements management using DOORS or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with civil and military specification standards such as ARP4754, ARP4761, DO-178, DO-254, and DO-297.
  • Prior experience with avionics systems, including Display Systems, FMS, GPS, TCAS, and Audio Systems.
  • Knowledge of FAA TSO, FARs, and STC regulations is advantageous.
  • Experience with certification processes related to FAR PART 23/25 is a plus.
