Are you an experienced Avionics Systems Specialist or aspiring to become one?

Key Responsibilities:

As a pivotal member of our engineering team, you will engage in the integration and certification of an Integrated Cockpit Solution, focusing on both new installations and upgrades for Cockpit modernization initiatives. We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to assist in the specification, design, testing, and validation of Integrated Avionics solutions for various aircraft. Your role will involve designing different cockpit variants utilizing both customer and third-party TSO'd equipment. The integrated Cockpit Solutions cater to Part 23/25/27/29 civil and military aircraft.

Your primary duties will include:
- Providing technical support for customer engagements, including the development of technical proposals.
- Reviewing customer statements of work and design requirements to ensure compliance with expectations, necessitating regular design discussions with clients throughout the project.
- Creating documentation associated with integrated avionics solutions, such as Block Diagrams, Physical and Data ICDs, Wiring Diagrams, etc., to align with customer specifications.
- Conducting system design, including the elaboration of interface definitions and requirements, focusing on safety and performance.
- Performing requirement analysis and management using DOORS, demonstrating compliance with customer and certification regulations.
- Supporting the certification process at the aircraft level.
- Developing System Test procedures and executing systems-level tests to validate designs against requirements.
- Conducting Systems Integration testing on the SIL and aircraft during various phases of development, build, and certification.
- Addressing issues during development and certification, providing recommendations for resolution, and identifying program impacts while preparing technical descriptions.
- Staying updated on advancements in avionics systems.
- Collaborating effectively within a dedicated project team of professionals.
- Potential travel may be required.

Qualifications Required:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering; advanced degrees or equivalent experience preferred, with a minimum of 10 years in complex avionics systems.
- Proficient English report writing skills.
- Experience in requirements capture and management using DOORS or equivalent tools.
- Familiarity with civil and/or military specification standards and practices, including ARP4754, ARP4761, DO-178, DO-254, and DO-297 is advantageous.
- Prior experience with avionics systems such as Display Systems, FMS, GPS, TCAS, TAWS, WXR, SVS, Audio Systems, and Moving Map is beneficial.
- Knowledge of ARINC 653 is a plus.
- Understanding of FAA TSO, FARs, TC, and STC regulations and procedures is advantageous.
- Certification experience related to FAR PART 23/25 is a plus.
