Full Time Assistant Store Manager

Position: FULL TIME (Assistant Store Manager)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Effectively train team members on company policies and customer communication.
  2. Manage department scheduling to align with business requirements in the manager's absence.
  3. Address customer complaints promptly and professionally.
  4. Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations and ensure compliance among staff.
  5. Inspire and guide team members to achieve their best performance.
  6. Assign and prioritize tasks for team members efficiently.
  7. Implement merchandising strategies for promotional activities.
  8. Set realistic and motivating sales targets.
  9. Stay informed about market trends and competitor actions.
  10. Oversee product receiving, storage, and handling for optimal results.
  11. Ensure proper product rotation as necessary.
  12. Maintain effective signage for displays to boost sales.
  13. Guarantee pricing accuracy.
  14. Foster a consistently high level of customer service.
  15. Assume accountability for store operations in the Franchisee's absence, including key and alarm responsibilities.
  16. Perform additional duties as needed to ensure excellent service and product quality.

  • Resourceful and polite in addressing customer inquiries.
  • Eager to acquire new skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 4 years of experience in a grocery retail environment.
  2. Understanding of the key success factors for discount grocery operations.
  3. Knowledge of the produce department's influence on overall store performance, including:
  • Adhering to merchandising standards.
  • Managing inventory levels effectively.
  • Verifying pricing accuracy on invoices.
  • Maintaining cleanliness to meet company standards.
Strong communication abilities.Demonstrated focus on customer satisfaction.Capability to lead and manage a team.Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.Comprehensive knowledge of produce operations and products.

Additional Requirements:

Availability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and remain active throughout the shift.
