Position Overview

Join our team as an EHS Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our Environmental Health and Safety initiatives.

Role Summary:

As an EHS Specialist, you will provide essential support to the Operations and Pharmaceutical Development Services teams, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the implementation of the Industrial Hygiene (IH) Program through site testing and assessments.
  2. Conduct evaluations for sound levels and perform noise dosimetry studies.
  3. Manage and maintain IH equipment, ensuring proper calibration.
  4. Carry out ergonomic assessments in both office and industrial settings.
  5. Oversee the tracking of New Substance Notification Regulation (NSNR) and maintain the Site Chemical Inventory.
  6. Collaborate with various departments on projects related to containment and combustible dust.
  7. Perform health and safety audits, focusing on guarding and lockout/tagout procedures.
  8. Develop and implement EHS Training Programs for staff.
  9. Facilitate EHS Orientation sessions for new employees.
  10. Assist in the execution of environmental sustainability initiatives and other safety programs.
  11. Support the EHS Department in various related projects and activities.

Qualifications:

Education:

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Health and Safety.

Experience:

Entry-level to 3 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment. Experience in conducting training and presentations. High level of integrity when handling confidential information. Strong professionalism and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Fluent in English.

Adhere to all Environmental Health & Safety Policies and Procedures. Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project and departmental goals. Maintain compliance with quality systems and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Keep workspaces organized and tidy. Engage in departmental systems to ensure efficient workflows. Remain client and patient-focused at all times. Understand and work towards improving Key Performance Indicators. Embrace positive thinking and adaptability, motivating the team to adjust to changing priorities. Identify and communicate potential risks proactively.

Physical Requirements:

This role may involve light physical activity and occasional equipment operation. Work is typically performed in a comfortable indoor environment, with potential exposure to mild discomfort from various factors. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
