Senior Cloud Security Operations Engineer

Position Overview:

As a Senior Cloud Security Operations Engineer at Highbrow LLC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our cloud infrastructure adheres to established security and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Guarantee that all cloud implementations comply with internal security protocols and regulatory requirements.

- Enhance our enterprise cloud capabilities and improve the orchestration platform for the automated provisioning, management, and scalability of various services, including hosts, containers, and applications.

- Develop APIs and Webhooks to facilitate seamless integration between the cloud orchestration platform and other system management tools, DevOps utilities, and cloud environments.

- Conduct data transformation and generate reports focused on security compliance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).

- Integrate security tools within enterprise deployment pipelines to provide developers with feedback and ensure runtime governance.

- Collaborate with security reporting systems and integrate them with our Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions, aligning with enterprise monitoring practices.

- Engage actively in dynamic DevOps engineering teams, participating in Scrum agile methodologies.

Required Skills and Experience:

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in automation and IT, with at least 2 years in DevOps and cloud environments.

- Proficient programming skills, particularly in API and Webhook development using Python, PowerShell, and Rego.

- Experience in automating and integrating serverless Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions on Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- In-depth understanding of container security and orchestration practices.

- Familiarity with compliance and application security tools.

- Knowledge of cloud security features across Azure and GCP, including data protection, Identity and Access Management (IAM), network security, and compliance frameworks.

- Strong troubleshooting skills related to networking, DNS, firewalls, and routing.

- Understanding of concepts related to deploying services through Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

- Ability to create automated workflows utilizing Terraform and GitHub Actions.

- A critical thinker with excellent research and analytical abilities.

- Self-driven with a positive mindset, capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.

- Ability to manage tight deadlines and solve complex challenges effectively.
