Interior Health Authority is seeking a skilled Mental Health and Substance Use Clinician to join our team in Kelowna. As a key member of our integrated care team, you will play a vital role in delivering advanced, evidence-based treatment and support to individuals facing complex substance use and concurrent mental health challenges.

About the Role:

This relief full-time opportunity is part of our Substance Use Day Treatment Program. As a Mental Health and Substance Use Clinician, you will co-facilitate a day treatment group and carry a small substance use counseling case load. Your role will involve conducting comprehensive assessments, crafting personalized treatment plans, and providing direct clinical interventions using a range of specialized modalities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for clients
  • Provide direct clinical interventions using evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing
  • Co-facilitate day treatment groups and work closely with clients, their families, and a multidisciplinary team
  • Enhance service delivery through program planning, quality assurance, and community outreach
  • Liaise with health and social services to advocate for clients and facilitate access to essential resources
