We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Reporting Manager to join our team at goeasy Ltd. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting and consolidation processes.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Statement Close Process: Lead the month-end financial statement close process, including consolidation, Canadian legal entity reporting, and management reporting processes, ensuring reporting deadlines are met and potential issues are resolved prior to closing the books.
- Process Improvement: Develop procedures and processes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of consolidation, ensuring that proper processes are in place for the timely and accurate elimination of intercompany transactions and balances.
- Corporate Accounting: Manage corporate accounting, including payroll and treasury accounting, among others, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Financial Analysis: Perform balance sheet and income statement analysis, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- External Audits: Coordinate all interactions with external auditors, ensuring support is provided and audit issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Regulatory Requirements: Provide support in preparing quarterly and annual regulatory requirements, including the preparation of note disclosures and shareholder materials.
- Internal Controls: Support the CEO/CFO certification processes, including supporting the internal audit team in their control testing and identifying opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of controls.
- Reporting and Analytics: Oversee the OneStream platform, managing and developing management reports and external financial reports within the platform.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with new accounting pronouncements and analyze their impact, identifying and implementing best practices across finance functions.
- Professional Designation: CPA, CA designation or equivalent.
- Public Accounting Experience: Experience in public accounting is an advantage.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in finance roles, including recent experience in accounting and consolidation, a minimum of 2 years of post-designation experience in management capacity is an asset.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of IFRS, advanced proficiency in Microsoft D365, OneStream, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
- Soft Skills: Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and work on and prioritize various deliverables, exceptional analytical and conceptual thinker.
