Job Title: Instructor, Social Work

Job Summary:

Northern Lakes College is seeking a highly qualified Instructor, Social Work to join our team. As a key member of our Human Services department, you will be responsible for supporting student learning through the development and delivery of high-quality educational programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets College standards and meets the needs of diverse learners.
  • Plan and deliver instruction that is engaging, effective, and meets the learning needs of students.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students and the College.
  • Participate in College activities and contribute to the development of the Social Work program.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the success of students and the program.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work.
  • Two years of recent related work experience and demonstrated competence in the occupational/subject area.
  • Eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers.
  • Ability to plan, organize, instruct, and facilitate quality educational programs.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Knowledge of and experience in Aboriginal Communities.
  • Experience teaching adults.
  • Experience using distance education technologies.
  • Experience developing curriculum.
