Job Title: Food Counter Attendant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at 1375093 B.C Ltd.

Job Summary

The Food Counter Attendant will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and performing various tasks related to food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
  • Table Service: Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
  • Inventory Management: Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
  • Dishwashing: Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
  • Record Keeping: Keep records of the quantities of food used.
  • Take-out Service: Package take-out food.
  • Food Preparation: Portion and wrap foods, prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
  • Cash Handling: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables.
  • Stock Management: Stock refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Customer Service: Take customers' orders.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
  • Housekeeping: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Supply Management: Handle and store cleaning products.
  • Receiving and Storage: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
  • Food Preparation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, work under pressure, attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, reliability, team player, ability to multitask, initiative, dependability, positive attitude.
