Job Title: Test and Measurement Operations Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test and Measurement Operations Team Lead to join our team at Photonic. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a collaborative team focused on opto-electrical-mechanical testing, working closely with engineers, scientists, and other technical team members to design, prototype, assemble, test, and deploy innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute efficient testing processes, including creating standard operating procedures and necessary tooling.
  • Enhance the reliability and performance of test and measurement support operations through continuous process improvement.
  • Estimate and balance team workload, providing decision support data and reports to the project management office.
  • Author and implement procedures and skills training for team members to ensure safe operational execution.
  • Design automated test tools and apparatus for use by the broader team, ensuring they meet operational requirements.
  • Create technical publications detailing the manufacture, assembly, and operation of new tools, apparatus, and assemblies.
  • Document and communicate T&M systems' operational status, deficiencies, and maintenance needs to stakeholders.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities for process standardization and refinement within the (T&M) Operations Team.
  • Collaborate with Quantum Processors to standardize processes and with Hardware Systems to refine design requirements that enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a commercial or academic lab environment.
  • Familiarity with cryogenic systems.
  • Familiarity with lasers and fiber optic componentry.
  • Experience with opto-mechanical systems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet critical deadlines.
