Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food in a fast-paced food service establishment. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be able to train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and supervise staff to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Hire and train food service staff to meet the needs of the establishment
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards and address customer complaints or concerns
  • Establish work schedules and supervise staff to ensure timely completion of tasks
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a food service establishment
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
Work Environment:

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced food service establishment with a team of 5-10 staff members. The work environment is physically demanding and requires the ability to work under pressure.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

The hours of work are 40 hours per week.
