Housekeeping Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Days Inn & Suites By The Falls. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of hotel rooms and public areas.
  • Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates for housekeeping supplies and services.
  • Recommend or arrange for additional services required, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Assist housekeeping staff in performing duties as needed.
  • Coordinate work activities with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in housekeeping or a related field is an asset.
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, and First Aid Certificate are required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, kneel, and handle heavy loads.
