Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager/Supervisor to join our team at JYSK Canada. As a Store Manager/Supervisor, you will be responsible for the direct supervision and development of the store team, ensuring excellent customer service, and achieving sales and service targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign tasks and prepare work schedules for retail salespersons, cashiers, merchandisers, and other store team members.
- Authorize payments and the return of merchandise.
- Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages.
- Maintain inventory levels and order merchandise.
- Prepare reports for managers on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
- Ensure the hiring and onboarding processes are executed in the store and participate in recruitment activities.
- Maintain visual standards and image of the store, including store displays, signage, and cleanliness.
- Open and close the store, manage escalated complaints, and implement marketing strategies.
- Partner with the leadership team to formulate and execute an internal colleague succession plan.
- Manage health & safety processes in the store and ensure full compliance.

Requirements:
- A dynamic and positive personality with strong leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to make complex decisions with integrity.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Capacity to work independently and escalate issues as required.
- 2+ years experience in home goods retail supervisor/assistant/management role and customer service.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Post-Secondary Retail Management Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Salary: Generally, the hiring range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal and market equity.
