About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for preparing, dispensing, and administering radiopharmaceuticals to perform a wide range of nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures and therapies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic procedures and therapies
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, including cameras and computers
  • Collaborate with nuclear medicine physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and effective patient care
  • Conduct quality assurance activities to ensure the safe and effective use of radiopharmaceuticals and equipment
  • Participate in on-call/emergency procedures outside of regular working hours
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
