Radiopharmaceutical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for preparing, dispensing, and administering radiopharmaceuticals to perform a wide range of nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures and therapies.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic procedures and therapies
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, including cameras and computers
- Collaborate with nuclear medicine physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and effective patient care
- Conduct quality assurance activities to ensure the safe and effective use of radiopharmaceuticals and equipment
- Participate in on-call/emergency procedures outside of regular working hours
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Competitive hourly rate: $34.24 - $39.96
