As part of the VIE program, the procurement advisor will engage in a VIE assignment within Danone Inc. in the Canadian Business Unit for a duration of 24 months.

The Procurement Advisor will report directly to the Procurement Manager within the Cycles & Procurement division of Danone Canada.

Key responsibilities include:

Category Management and Supplier Relationship Management

Formulate and collaboratively develop strategies for Purchasing categories; Establish and nurture relationships with key suppliers; Collaborate closely with the Marketing Department to assess needs, conduct tender processes, negotiate contracts, and ensure effective implementation; Oversee vendor compliance with Danone's policies and standards;

Evaluation of Strategic Agencies

Design and execute supplier assessments; Monitor and evaluate local agency performance; Set performance enhancement objectives and develop necessary action plans; Ensure the execution of these action plans;

Financial Management

Identify opportunities for value creation through productivity and cost management; Collaborate with Agencies, Finance, and Marketing stakeholders to establish and monitor annual budgets; Track operating expenses and implement productivity measures;

Tools and Database Management

Collect, organize, and develop information for Procurement stakeholders; Create and enhance procurement databases utilizing current tools; Guide purchasing decisions through appropriate tools and processes;

Process Improvement

Analyze existing processes to identify improvement opportunities and develop action plans; Foster sustainable workflows between Purchasing, Marketing teams, and Agencies to maintain control over expenses; Assist in clarifying the Purchasing function's role to internal stakeholders;

Required Skills and Qualifications

Ability to work independently and maintain a structured approach; Exhibit leadership qualities and take initiative; Strong communication and synthesis skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels; Demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills; High level of intellectual curiosity, strategic insight, and financial understanding; Proficient understanding of contract terminology; Capability to manage multiple deliverables under pressure; Strong command of English, both written and spoken; Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); Educational background in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Data Analysis;

Eligibility Criteria

Aged between 18 and 28; Completion of national service obligation; Citizenship in the European Economic Area; No prior work experience in the host country;
