About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team at RONA Inc. As a key member of our Supply Chain function, you will be responsible for leading the Supply Chain team to achieve strategic goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Supply Chain team to develop and implement inventory management strategies that optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
  • Manage and develop direct reports, including Replenishers and Supply Chain Analysts, to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Create annual inventory budgets that accurately reflect store growth, distribution growth, and sales and sourcing initiatives.
  • Manage inventory flow, builds, and exits to ensure that inventory turn budgets are met or exceeded.
  • Accurately reforecast inventory levels monthly based on sales and margin trends, current or upcoming promotional activity, and other factors.
  • Drive improvement in inventory leverage year over year, while supporting sales through strategic down-stocking initiatives and logistics flow improvements.
  • Create, document, pilot, and coordinate the execution of all inventory flow plans associated with merchandising, store operations, and off-shelf initiatives.
  • Lead, support, coordinate, and prioritize the activities of all Supply Chain team members associated with a merchandising division to ensure successful product flow, inventory leverage, and in-stock expectations.
  • Develop and mentor the extended Supply Chain team when necessary.
  • Identify and lead cross-functional process improvements within the Supply Chain function.
  • Advise stores and business areas of inventory interruptions and substitutions to minimize customer impact.
  • Maintain professional and productive relationships with suppliers to ensure awareness of inventory flow changes and opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, management, or business administration and 3 years related experience in one or more logistics disciplines.
  • At least 5 years of experience within the Supply Chain function of a large retailer, including managing a team.
  • Superior analytical skills, particularly in the area of financial and strategic analysis.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills and demonstrated ability to support multiple teams at the same time.
  • Strong project management skills are an asset.
  • Ability to interface effectively with management at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple high priority tasks simultaneously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
