Professional Practice Leader - Registered Dietitian

Job Summary

The St. Joseph's Care Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Dietitian to fill the role of Professional Practice Leader. This is a valuable position within the Collaborative Practice Team, responsible for promoting the advancement of the profession through practice, education, and research with an emphasis on collaboration, communication, innovation, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the profession internally and externally, acting as a liaison with academic institutions.
  • Promote discussion of professional issues within the organization.
  • Work collaboratively with Clinical Managers and others to address profession-specific issues.
  • Promote interprofessional practice across the organization.
  • Provide guidance and support to the regulated health professional group and others in the organization on issues specific to the profession.

Requirements

  • Current registration with the applicable profession-specific College.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • Membership with the applicable profession-specific association.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice, ideally within an inter-professional environment.
  • Excellent leadership, teaching, and mentorship skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based clinical practice and ongoing professional development.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in professional/academic writing (reports, proposals, research papers, poster presentations).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.

Condition of Employment

  • This position is conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
