Unit Clerk Representative

CancerCare Manitoba is seeking a skilled Unit Clerk to join our team. As a Unit Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the care and comfort of patients, as well as maintaining the routine cleanliness of the clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of clerical tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping
- Provide supportive functions for patients and staff, including answering phones and responding to inquiries
- Ensure the care and comfort of patients, including providing personal care and assisting with daily living activities
- Maintain the routine cleanliness of the clinical environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and surfaces
- Successful completion of a recognized Health Unit Clerk course or equivalent
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including pushing carts with patient charts
- Satisfactory employment record, including a clean criminal record check
- Previous experience in an ambulatory clinic or in-patient care setting
- Ability to speak French
