Position Overview: Senior Risk Control Advisor

As a Senior Risk Control Advisor, you will oversee all aspects related to fire safety, risk engineering, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough site evaluations at client locations (covering property, general and product liability, and fleet). Generate comprehensive risk analysis reports (including underwriting reports for the insurance sector, risk assessments, and recommendation documents). Calculate loss estimates (PML, MFL, NLE, etc.). Assist brokers during the placement process by supplying information on risk exposures and insurer requirements. Provide expert advice to clients regarding risk exposures and mitigation strategies. Develop and implement risk control initiatives for major clients. Analyze and prioritize recommendations from insurers. Contribute to research and development on technical matters and considerations. Support the building valuation process. Aid in enhancing building safety measures. Review and advise clients on the design of building systems and fire safety projects. Revise hydraulic schematics and calculations in accordance with applicable standards. Provide specialized expertise in fire safety and generate related reports. Continuously enhance your knowledge in risk assessment and management practices: prepare underwriting documents for the insurance market, conduct risk assessments, support brokers with risk exposure information, advise clients on risk management, assist with loss estimation, and contribute to building valuation practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Proven experience in risk management with a broker, insurer, or large organization. Background in site inspections, risk management, and/or fire safety. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering; diploma in fire safety or applied sciences, or equivalent training. Strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles. Familiarity with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) and FM (Factory Mutual) standards. Knowledge of building construction, relevant codes, and building systems. Proficiency in hydraulic calculation software (such as HydraCalc or equivalent). Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proficient in the MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word). Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Effective time management and organizational skills.
