Who are we looking for?

An accomplished Lead Risk Management Consultant with a minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience, either seeking a new challenge or currently engaged in a similar role within a comparable environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Risk Management Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering best practice risk management services and reporting to the Head of Department.
  • Proactively reviewing, developing, and enhancing the risk management services provided to clients.
  • Managing comprehensive project risk management practices across multiple projects/programs.
  • Creating risk management plans and processes in alignment with client requirements, policies, and frameworks.
  • Possessing in-depth knowledge and experience in risk identification methodologies and techniques.
  • Leading workshops with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conducting regular risk reviews, identifying and analyzing risks, formulating response plans, and ensuring project and program risk profiles are monitored and reported.
  • Overseeing a thorough schedule and cost qualitative risk assessment (QCRA & QSRA) process.
  • Integrating the risk management function within the program, ensuring collaboration with key functions such as cost management, schedule management, change control, and reporting.
  • Developing risk response strategies and maintaining the risk mitigation process.
  • Collaborating proactively with program and project teams to eliminate redundancies and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitating knowledge transfer within the risk team and to the client organization.
  • Conducting Lessons Learned workshops to enhance risk identification and stakeholder knowledge.
  • Working in a collaborative and integrated environment with like-minded risk professionals.
  • Experienced in drafting tailored processes and procedures to meet client needs.
  • Capable of leading and managing a team of consultants and analysts.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience in major projects, preferably in infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Program Management or Program Controls environment.
  • Over 5 years of project/program risk management experience with a solid understanding of risk analysis using Monte Carlo simulations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Possession or pursuit of a Project Management/Risk Management qualification is advantageous.
  • A Master's Degree is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and French is beneficial.
