Job Summary

This role is responsible for building and managing a small portfolio of high net worth clients, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and delivering tailored investment solutions. The Associate Portfolio Manager will work closely with Portfolio Managers to develop and implement investment strategies that meet the needs of clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow the client base by identifying opportunities for portfolio expansion and developing strategies to increase client satisfaction.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by providing timely and effective communication, and ensuring that client needs are met in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Develop and implement investment strategies that align with client goals and objectives, and provide regular portfolio reviews to ensure that clients are on track to meet their financial objectives.
  • Work closely with Portfolio Managers to develop and implement investment strategies, and provide support and guidance as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of business growth initiatives, and participate in cross-functional teams to drive business results.
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends and economic conditions, and provide insights and recommendations to clients and Portfolio Managers.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to develop and implement business growth initiatives.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills, and stay current on industry developments and best practices.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field, such as finance or business.
  • CFA Level 1 or above, or CIM designation.
  • 3+ years of experience in investment management or a related field.
  • Eligible for provincial Securities Commission registration as an Associate Advising Representative (AAR).
