Catering Operations Manager

Pelican Events and Catering is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Catering Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and manage work schedules to meet event deadlines
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure seamless event execution
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation
- Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
- Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys
- Establish work schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods
- Physically demanding with attention to detail required
- Client focus and flexibility
- Team player with initiative and dependability
