Catering Operations Manager

Pelican Events and Catering is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Catering Supervisor to join our team. As a Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, including food preparation, presentation, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and implement efficient work schedules to meet catering demands
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring timely delivery and quality control
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of catering staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and excess
- Address customer complaints and concerns, providing exceptional customer service
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring data-driven decision making
- Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys, ensuring timely and efficient service
- Establish work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing and resource allocation
- Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high pressure
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods
- Physically demanding, requiring attention to detail and ability to work in a team
- Client focus, flexibility, and team player attitude
- Initiative, dependability, and ability to work under pressure
- Experience an asset, but not required
- Permanent position, 40 hours per week
- English language proficiency
