Compensation: $21.42 per hour
Company Overview: Central West Specialized Developmental Services is seeking dedicated Overnight Support Specialists to provide essential overnight care and supervision for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and supervise clients throughout the night, including conducting regular bed checks and walking through the facility.
- Assist individuals in achieving their personal goals.
- Deliver direct care and support tailored to residents' needs, which includes assistance with personal hygiene, bathing, toileting, and administering first aid as necessary.
- Dispense and manage medications as required.
- Ensure the safety and security of all individuals under care.
- Perform household tasks such as laundry, cleaning, meal preparation, and inventory counts.
- Maintain accurate and current documentation of all activities and care provided.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Developmental Services Worker Diploma (DSW) preferred. Candidates without a DSW may be considered if they possess a Diploma (minimum 2-year program) or Degree in Social/Human Services from an accredited institution.
- Successful candidates lacking a DSW Diploma will need to complete a Pharmacology certification course.
- First Aid and Safe Management certifications are mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and managing challenging behaviors.
- Proficiency in Behavior Modification techniques.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Work Schedule: Overnight shifts from 10 PM to 8 AM on a rotational basis, including every other weekend.
