Job Title: Youth Development Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Development Coordinator to join our team at the BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of Aboriginal youth and communities.

About the Role:

The Youth Development Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing programs and services that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of Aboriginal youth. This will involve working closely with community partners, stakeholders, and youth to identify needs and develop solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement programs and services for Aboriginal youth
  • Work with community partners and stakeholders to identify needs and develop solutions
  • Provide support and guidance to youth in achieving their goals and aspirations
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to measure program effectiveness
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in youth development or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Aboriginal cultures and communities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
