Job Title: Youth Development Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Development Coordinator to join our team at the BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing youth programs and services that promote the well-being and development of Aboriginal youth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and implement youth programs and services that promote the well-being and development of Aboriginal youth.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery.
  • Assess client needs and develop individualized plans to support their goals and objectives.
  • Provide support and guidance to youth participants to help them achieve their goals and overcome challenges.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to youth services.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and reports to track program progress and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in youth development or a related field.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. social work, education, community development).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
