About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at AK Tool & Die Ltd. as a Precision Tooling Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-precision parts and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dimensional Control: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Workpiece Preparation: Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly, ensuring that all components are properly aligned and fitted.
  • Engineering Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand production requirements and specifications.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Repair machine tools and parts, and maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Production Setup: Set up and adjust production machinery and tools to meet production requirements.
  • Quality Control: Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances, and maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
Working Conditions
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
