Job Title: Employed Student Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Employed Student Nurse to join our team at Providence Health Care. As a Student Nurse, you will work under the direction of a registered nurse to provide direct nursing care to patients, residents, and clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and record the health status of assigned patients, residents, and clients to identify and document their status.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team, multidisciplinary team members, community care partners, and patients, residents, and clients to develop and modify care plans.
  • Provide nursing care to assigned patients, residents, and clients, including administering medications, performing catheterizations, and conducting wound and skin care.
  • Evaluate patient, resident, and client response to care and modify interventions as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of Year 2 or equivalent of a BC College of Nurses and Midwives and continued enrollment in a recognized nursing education program.
  • Current student membership with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedures.
