Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Queen's Coach Family Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Operations and Administration
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
    • Prepare food order summaries for the chef
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and check assembly of trays
    • Establish work schedules
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide guidance and support to staff
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our food meets the highest quality standards. The work environment will be noisy, with odours and wet/damp conditions. The work setting will be in a restaurant environment, with a focus on providing a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for our customers.
