Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist II to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing various routine Hematological, Microbiological, Biochemical, and Immunohematological testing in accordance with Departmental Procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and prepare specimens for routine analysis under the direction of the Chief Medical Technologist.
  • Perform various routine Hematological, Microbiological, Biochemical, and Immunohematological testing in accordance with Departmental Procedures.
  • Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely test results.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of new testing technologies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of Medical Laboratory Technology and current Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science registration.
  • One (1) year recent related experience.
  • Experience in all the above disciplines preferred.
