We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist II to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our clinical laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory procedures, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy in our testing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including blood banking, chemistry, hematology, and microbiology.
- Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes.
- Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and medical professionals to resolve test-related issues and improve laboratory processes.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with new technologies and laboratory procedures.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program.
- Eligibility for certification from the Canadian Society of Laboratory Technologists.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
