Position Overview

ROLE DESCRIPTION

  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on a medium-sized fleet of truck and trailer equipment
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on a varied fleet of heavy machinery
  • Implement preventative maintenance protocols for all fleet vehicles, including tractor trailer units and heavy equipment
  • Complete work orders accurately and promptly
  • Ensure safe operations while adhering to company safety protocols
  • Stay informed about vehicle safety regulations
  • Collaborate with the foreman to strategize work assignments
  • Work alongside fellow mechanics to accomplish tasks
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentice mechanics
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Adapt to various environmental conditions while working
  • Perform additional duties as necessary

Candidate Profile

WHAT WE SEEK

  • Possess a journeyman certification
  • Exhibit a keen attention to detail
  • Preferably have experience with off-road machinery
  • Hold a Commercial Vehicle Inspection Technician license (preferred)
  • Possess a Class 1 Driver's license (preferred)
  • Have a complete set of tools necessary for the role
  • Capable of performing heavy manual labor and working at heights when required
  • Able to thrive in diverse physical environments
