**Job Summary**

The City of Brooks is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Parks Maintenance III to join our team in the Parks Services Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all parks, pathways, sports fields, cemeteries, and other related park amenities.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Operate a variety of equipment, including chainsaws, front-end loaders, mowers, hand tools, bucket trucks, and snow removal equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as mowing, pruning, and trimming trees and shrubs.
  • Assist with special events and projects, such as festivals, parades, and park renovations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve park maintenance and operations.

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of one year of experience in parks operations or a related field.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with Q-Endorsement.
  • Pesticide Applicator, CSA Playground, Fall Protection, Flag Person, Confined Space, Standard First Aid, WHMIS, Ground Disturbance, and Parks & Sport Fields Operator Level 2 Certificates.
  • Ability to obtain Class 3 Driver's License with Q-Endorsement.
  • Clean driver's abstract.
