Job Title: General Internist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated General Internist to join our team at the Comox Valley Campus of the North Island Hospital. As a General Internist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the growth and development of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions, including acute and chronic illnesses, and injuries.
  • Work collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and other physicians, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Eligible for FRCPC or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
