Configuration Management Specialist

In this contract position as a Configuration Management Analyst, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Hardware within our Product Development team. Your primary focus will be on overseeing the configuration management processes for our cutting-edge energy storage solutions. This role involves the creation and maintenance of controlled product data while facilitating essential cross-departmental collaboration to enhance our products and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of product data and associated documentation, including parts lists, BOMs, technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions, utilizing Propel, a cloud-based Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool;
- Administer the engineering change management workflow, ensuring smooth implementation of changes;
- Develop and implement document control and configuration management standards, including templates for documentation;
- Assist in the development and execution of engineering-related ISO processes.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in document control or configuration management roles;
- At least 5 years of experience in product-focused environments, ideally within renewable energy, power, or electrochemical sectors;
- Strong understanding of product development methodologies, including document control and engineering change management;
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems;
- Proficient in PLM software such as Propel and Salesforce;
- Experience in setting up and maintaining a PLM database or system;
- Competence in CAD software like SolidWorks or Onshape;
- Proficient in Microsoft O365 applications, including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio;
- Knowledge of document control software, such as SharePoint;
- Experience in developing new procedures and processes is a plus;
- Prior experience with PLM system setup and maintenance is advantageous;
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin is a valuable asset.
