Reporting to the Director of Mission and Visits Planning within the International Relations branch of Executive Council - Intergovernmental Relations, this role entails overseeing the Mission and Visits Planning (MVP) Coordinators.
As the Team Lead, you will cultivate a collaborative relationship with departmental, Ministerial, and Premier staff, concentrating on the management, development, and execution of missions led by the Premier and Ministers beyond provincial borders. Additionally, you will coordinate the reception of senior government delegations and foreign dignitaries visiting the province.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the effective coordination, development, and implementation of economical logistical strategies and briefings for incoming visits and out-of-province missions conducted by the Premier and Minister of Intergovernmental Relations.
- Providing leadership and guidance to unionized personnel and mission coordinators, fostering a cohesive team environment within the Mission and Visits Coordinator team.
- Monitoring, managing, and documenting expenses associated with mission initiatives.
- Offering financial advisory services to the unit by developing and refining budgeting, forecasting, analytical, communication, and management information tools.
- Assisting the Director in the strategic alignment of International Relations across the department and government-wide initiatives.
- Supporting and participating in Mission and Visits Planning activities for the Director as necessary.
