Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Licensed Millwright Mechanic to join our team on a weekend shift basis at our Ancaster location. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our equipment and ensuring smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, utilizing your expertise to identify root causes and implement effective repairs.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed using our computerized maintenance system.
  • Fabricate and repair parts as needed, utilizing your skills in machine shop operations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise.

Qualifications

  • Certified Licensed Industrial Millwright Mechanic/Technician.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the paper and packaging industry.
  • Strong understanding of PLC systems, wiring diagrams, and relevant safety standards.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues.
